Privacy Policy

What this site collects

Very little, and nothing that identifies you. obsbarkc.com has no forms, no accounts, no newsletter signup and no ordering, so there is nothing here to submit.

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people reach. It records the page you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used. It does not record your name, your email address or anything you type, because there is nothing on this site to type into.

Server logs

Our web host records standard access logs for every site on its network: IP address, browser user agent, the file requested and a timestamp. The hosting provider generates these for security and reliability. This site does not read them and does not use them to identify visitors.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets two cookies to tell one visit apart from the next. They hold a random identifier, not personal information, and they are the only cookies this site sets. Blocking cookies in your browser stops them, and the site works exactly the same without them.

Who else receives this

Google, as the company that runs Analytics, processes this data on our behalf. Their privacy policy covers what they do with it. Google Analytics is the only outside service this site loads. Everything else the page needs, including its fonts, is served from this domain.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google’s browser add-on.

Links to other sites

The address on the front page links to Google Maps, the icon at the top of every page links to Instagram, and the credit at the foot of every page links to mediaBrilliance, the studio that built the site. Following any of them takes you to that company, where its privacy policy applies. None of them loads anything into this site: no embed, no tracking pixel, no script. Nothing is sent to any of them unless you follow the link yourself. We have no control over what other sites collect.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information about them. The analytics described above measure page visits, not people, and cannot identify a visitor of any age. O'B's serves alcohol, and the bar is open to guests 21 and over.

Changes to this policy

Any change appears on this page with a new date at the top.
